Too much working not enough writing…

Busy Bee

busy

This last week has been crazy busy for us, which is why we haven’t posted shit, sorry. Here’s a quick run-down of all the things I’ve wanted to write about…

Mark Buehrle decided that a perfect game wasn’t enough so Wednesday he went out and retired 17 straight batters to set a record for most connsecutive batters retired at 45. This guy is on fire…

David Ortiz got himself on the asterisk list with reports of a positive steriods test in 2003. It didn’t really come as a surprise, but it sounds like Ortiz will own up to it. I’m just betting that he’s not the last big name to come up…

Lamar Odom will still be Laker next year. I’m happy about this. I like Odom and he really epitomizes the organization…

Lastly my homie Derek is getting married tomorrow (read: hangover). I want to wish him and his beautiful, soon to be wife, Lauren all the best.

Mark Buehrle

Perfecto!

Mark Buehrle threw only the 18th perfect game in major leauge history last night with an amazing catch coming from Dewayne Wise to preserve perfection. I loved the quotes that came from A.J. Pierzynski…

“He [Buehrle] was running his mouth before the game because he always says he doesn’t finish games anymore,” Pierzynski said. “I said, ‘Well, go out and finish one.’ He’s like, ‘Nah.’ I said, ‘Go out and throw a no-hitter,’ and he said, ‘I already got one of those.’ I was like, ‘Go out and throw a perfect game.’ Pierzynski went on to say “We were kind of joking back and forth, and [Buehrle] said, ‘OK, I just might.”

Sports world

Tidbits

Saw a couple things that peaked my interest today…

First the LeBron getting dunked on video. I watched it and it’s no big deal. Shit happens. LeBron is still KING OF CLEVELAND in my book.

Next up a great article in The Times about Ricky Williams. I goes in depth about his spiritual journey. Maybe he can adjust the idea of what a football player is.

Finally, it looks like Lance won’t win the Tour De France this year, but there’s always next year even at 38. Keep rolling Lance!

Spotted in the Wild, Pt. 2

The Afterparty

We can’t tell you how happy it makes us to see pictures of our customers rocking their Pennant Race gear. We created this brand as sports fans for the sports fan. Most of the time we send you a tee, never to be seen again. But every once in a while we get pictures from you all wearing your tees with pride and those pictures are truly the fruits of our labor… Keep the pics coming!!!

Our most recent submission was from Noel and his girl Pam, both wearing our Staples Courtside tee during the Lakers championship celebration. Check out the pics below…
